Advanced Placement Courses and AP Exam Prep: I have over 10 years of experience in tutoring AP Literature, AP Language and Composition, AP World History, and AP US History. For each student, I read their syllabus and purchase the same required reading they have so I can give supplemental assignments to augment their classroom learning. In preparation for the exam, I make sure to keep College Board’s official practice material at the center of my students’ learning. I utilize mock exams, answering strategies and timed drills to prepare them for the big test day in May.
General Academic Tutoring: I tutor all high school levels of History and English, and up to Pre-Calculus in Mathematics. When I work with a student in these areas, I read the required textbooks or literature alongside them, and I provide guidance on each HW assignment they’re given and on each test. I have extra worksheets, extra readings, and extra study skills to help any student bring his or her best work to the course. All that’s required in return is commitment and accountability.
